Ellie is a Postural Alignment Therapist based in the stunning Peak District National Park. She helps people all over the world with her services online and she has opened a studio space in Hartington, Derbyshire. I visited her studio in Derbyshire for our Brand Photoshoot and am so happy to share the images from our session together.
Planning our Brand Photoshoot
When we were in the planning stages of our session together Ellie said how she loves earthy tones and natural elements. Her work is all about keeping things simple and learning the wisdom of what your body is trying to tell you. We took this as inspiration for the colour palette of our photos and the plants that we brought into her space.
Ellie’s studio already has the lovely earthy tones–the sage green bolsters, mats, and cork blocks. As I say in my What to Wear for Your Brand Photoshoot post, some people use our photoshoots as an opportunity to go wardrobe shopping, and that’s exactly what Ellie did. Her choice in wardrobe for our shoot was perfect. The colours coordinated so well with the props she already had and her brand aesthetic.
Photoshoot Day in Derbyshire
You can plan a lot for your photoshoot day, but the one thing you never have control over is the weather. On the day of our personal branding photoshoot in Derbyshire it was raining. And it was a lot of rain. Fortunately, our entire photoshoot was planned to be indoors.
We started our brand photoshoot with simple movement. I love to have people moving, especially in the beginning of any photo session as it helps to relax people and get them more comfortable being in front of the camera. In between movement, we take some headshots and portraits. We finish our session in Ellie’s office.

We kept the images simple, but I think they do really well in representing her brand, values, and message.
