As a personal brand photographer in Sheffield serving small creative businesses, I recently had the pleasure of doing a photo shoot for a business coach in Sheffield who wanted to bring more authority to her brand. She wanted photos that were a bit more serious and helped her take up more space in her brand imagery. Alongside these, we also took plenty of joyful images as I can’t help but capture those authentic laughs and smiles.
To bring her vision to life, Jessica rented an Airbnb that matched her brand style. In preparation for every brand photoshoot, I send my clients a Brand Planning Guide and Checklist. She added photos of the Airbnb from its listing to the checklist so that we knew exactly which rooms we wanted to shoot in. Given the unpredictability of British weather, I always bring extra lighting equipment. This is especially true for indoor shoots where the rooms may be very dark if the weather isn’t great. On this particular day, the location was quite dark as it was rainy outside, so I set up a range of lighting equipment in the Airbnb. This allowed us to create a professional and polished look that was perfect for her business brand photos.
Throughout the shoot, Jessica was fantastic to work with–I even found out she has a taste for punk and metal music, which I was ecstatic to find out…our photoshoot playlist was ace.
